SHAFFER:Would like information on John (Johannes) Shaffer b. 10, June 1755, in Berks County, Pennsylvania, md, 7, Nov 1778, in Shenandoah, Virginia, d. 27, Apr 1847 in Sullivan County, Tennessee, and wife Eve Kelknar (Kelchner).Enlisted in the Revolutionary War in Shenandoah, Virginia, supposedly served under George Washington, and latter on in the war became a private secretary for George Washington.
