Hi, I , am wondering if you can help me . I am looking for my grandmothers family. I know nothing much of them. I know her name was Maria Leeuwen and the family lived in Smilde, her married name was Maria Timmer she was married Hendrik Timmer, I am guessing she was born around 1890- 1900. Maria had a daughter called Berendina Timmer [ born 5.6.1933 - 27.7.1982] who came to Australia in 1957 with her husband Cornelis Betten [born 11.12.1934.- 14.9.1992] and their 2 children Maria born 1955 [me] and Willem born 1956. Berindina left her husband and 2 children not long after arriving in Australia and married a man called Colin Louwen. I have also been told that Maria Timmer had alot of children about 12, but I dont know if this is true or not. I know this is not helping you with the subect you are asking about but I saw your last name and thought what have I got to loose. Hope you can be of some assistanc, as I am sure there would be some of the family alive and I would love to make contact as I have never heard from any of them. I have attached a photo of Maria Timmer born Leeuwen this was taken around February 1956.

i am trying to trace my fathers family as i would really like my children to have the chance to know and if possible meet them.My father was originally from edinburgh scotland uk, but as been a dutch naturalist since the late 60s/70s,where he lived with his wife meta and their 5 children,illona,irma suzy(suzanne)hans andkurt (or could be kirk).They live in lelystad netherlands.I have only met him twice in my 43years,but we lost touch etc.My family means a lot to me so just to be able to fill in the banks would be helpful.I am not expecting anyone to meet us if they do not want to,but it would be nice to do so.
