Ottar was my dad's uncle who arrived in Ellis Island June 5th, 1923. He went to stay with his uncle Simon Anderson (1868-1955) and Ingeborg Olina Anderson (1874-1952). Simon and Ingeborg's address he listed as 2312 Banks Ave, Superior, Wisconsin. I found that they later moved to 2310 West 10th street, Duluth.  Probably between 1930 and 1935.

Ottar was the "financial hope" of the family but instead he died under suspicious circumstances. His belongings were returned to Norway but nobody knows how he died. The rumour is that perhaps he was killed over gold, participating in gold digging but this story may be the fiction of an overly creative mind :-) 

I am looking to find if there is a death certfiicate of Ottar anywhere. Or a grave.

I was thinking also that Simon and Ingeborg perhaps had any children and grandchildren and that perhaps they had some information about what happened to Ottar.  I haven't found any children in my searches. But in the 1940 counting it sait that they had "other" sources of income which I thought perhaps could be children.
