Hello- hoping someone can help! I used to dabble in trading silver, and a while back I came across a silver christening cup with the name "Casey Bruce Morgan" on it with the date "Octo 29, 1870". From my amateur research, it appears he was a Navy captain who was quite distinguished. Any google search returns multiple hits for that name, and a plethora of information about his life. I would like to give the cup to a descendant, because it would surely be worth more to them, and it's just collecting dust here. (It's probably only worth about 80 bucks in silver- would rather die than melt it down.) Unfortunately, while I can find out a great deal about him online, I don't have the skills needed to find out if he has living descendants. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

According to the web "Casey Morgan graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Class of 1888. He retired as a U.S. Navy Rear Admiral. He died 17 August 1933 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery."
On the 1930 census he's listed as "single."
Have you contacted the Naval Academy for information?
I have been directed back and forth using the FAQs without success to find out if or how I can divide up the tree with all the people I have just imported since I did not know MyHeritage limits the free publishing to 250 people before I made the gedcom. Therefore i would be very grateful if someone would tell me if or how I can make gedcoms of the various branches I have included in what I have just imported. My main tree is of my father's and my mother's ancestors but I have included everyone I could find with my father's surname and all the various inlaws of my father's and my mother's families. If I had known before about the limits I would have made a different gedcom to import to MyHeritage. Do I have to make new gedcoms to import to MyHeritage? My aim in adding my tree to MyHeritage is to allow others searching my families to see and use the information I have gathered over the years I have done family searching. I do not need a website and I already have a family tree program which I am satisfied with. Thank you for helping.

you see my mom was adopted in 1942 and our south-african goverment can not find aany trace of my grandmother. we dont have more money to do big search.
Not sure if this message will get to you. Maybe you have an answer already. The Y-DNA 12 marker test is only for the Male-Men. Family tree DNA (www.familytreedna.com) offers a Family Finder test and mtDNA tests for Females. I do wish you good luck on any search you do.
Seeking anyone with knowledge of the Goeppner family entering the US through Jacksonville, Fla., in the 1800's--- I believe it would be Joseph Goeppner, before they changed the spelling to Goepner. Also, there was a Schmidt with Mr. Goepner, perhaps his wife. I believe they went to NY after entering. There are Goepners in NY, however, I've lost all paperwork in a fire, so Im starting again.
This man would be my great grandfather or grandfather... However, his daughter, or granddaughter used the name Smith... changed from Schmidt....
