My name is Ian James GARDENER & I run the GARDENER Family Australia websites. My research is is focused on finding all descendants, siblings & ancestors of George Frederick GARDENER. He was born around 1886 and died on Boxing Day 1970 here in Victoria, Australia.

To a lesser extent, I am also actively researching the descendents, ancestors & siblings of his wife, Nellie Marion McDougall. Born about 1892, she died on October 8th. 1952, also in Victoria. They spent most of their traceable lives around the Emerald Hill (Sth Melb) area & produced 12 children athough 5 died very early and are not known to have existed by most of the now living relatives. Those that survived were George, Victor, Leslie, Eileen, James, Robert & Peter. Peter is the only now living child & I am his son.

For those researching the LONG name:

While I have a great many Long's in my database, I am not actively researching that line. They are a far removed branch of my wife's family & I record only what jumps into my lap - I do no research on that name at all. Please don't contact me about the LONG family.
