Dick Williams MyHeritage has identified a match of Marie Bodine (Crocheron) with your family tree. We have slightly different dates and I have her being born in this country. Can you give me your source so I can correct my records?

Dick Williams Guess I should tell you how to contact me -

Richard Raines My information was matching up with other people's findings. I cannot validate information as being correct.

Nell Porter Copeland Richard, I don't believe the two ladies named Lucinda Stearns are the same person. My Lucinda married Cornelius Maguire Conner and her parents were John and Elizabeth (Saffier) Stearnes.

Paul McNulty I'm not sure that my George Ryan, linked through marriage to the Lynches of Barna, Galway, Ireland is linked to your George E Ryan of Kentucky.
vor 2 Jahren
Richard Raines Very likely not. I'm finding a lot of people with similar names that are linking that would NOT be the same people. For example, I have no reason to think that some of my relatives from Kentucky, Indiana, or Tennessee are in any way the same people as show up in family trees from Australia. European ancestors, I can see being the same as those in trees from Australia, South Africa, or other countries.

Brenda (Dean) Grigg Mathew Dean was my Great Grandfather and His wife was Elizabeth Rains. Her father was George W. Rains. I have not been able to trace anything on Mathew dean or any information. His son was Joseph Mathew Dean born 1-14-1884 and died 1-17-1973. I lived beside him as a child and loved him dearly. I spent most of my time at his house. His firs wife was Carrie Lillian Holder, 2nd wife was Beulah Pill Curry which was my fathers mother. Anything would be helpful if you can.
Thank you

Richard Raines I don't know anything to tell you. I have been trying to work on extracting information from census records and other "public" information/matches. Not very many of the Rains family that I know very much about outside of immediate family. I know most of my immediate family originated in Wayne Co, KY, with some of our relatives living in Pickett and Fentress Co, TN. I know we have extended family in Arkansas and Texas, but I'm not acquainted with them.

Brenda Craig Hi Richard...I am new to all this. My father was William Raymond Rains grandson of General Grant Rains and his father was Elmer Paul Rains who died right at 40 or so. And I do live in Texas. His mother Mella Ila Ramsey remarried to Luther Clark...good to connect with you and perhaps I will learn a thing or two...thanks Brenda
